Tuition – Doctoral Studies – 2025-2026
The tuition of a doctoral student is calculated according to the following rules:
Students commencing studies in the first semester are charged 40% of the standard tuition fee of advanced degrees in each of the first two years (regardless the number of courses the student enrolled in).
A doctoral student commencing studies in the second semester is charged 20% of the standard tuition fee of advanced degrees in the first year, 40% in the second year, and 20% in the third year.
From the third year until the end of a student’s degree obligations, a student is charged 10% of the standard tuition fee, each year.
All students, including students in part-time curricula, and including students that have Registration to work submition or exams, are required to pay “ancillary fees” in addition to the basic tuition fee*
A student who is fully funded by a third party and foreign students pay 125% tuition fee.
Calculation of tuition to be paid for the next academic year beginning in October 2025-2026(appears as 2025 in the system) Calculated according to the current year's rates :
For example:
16,239 NIS (100% standard tuition) * 40% * 125% + 682 NIS security fee + 471 NIS Student Services Fee = 9,272.5 NIS.
Advance/first payment: 1,153 NIS
Note: As a Ph.D. student, you will be entitled to receive a tuition scholarship for a period of three years, pending academic standing.
After the advance payment, eligible students will receive a scholarship of 6,495.6 NIS.
However, please note that you are required to pay an additional 25% of the standard yearly tuition fees, as well as the ancillary fees for each academic year.
Second payment: 1,623.9 NIS
Deadline for advance payment for the next academic year – 2025-2026 (“Ancillary Fees” only): 14th of September 2025.
Deadline for the second payment (Additional 25% tuition fee): 14th of November 2025.
Methods of Payment:
- Vouchers – can be used at the various bank branches that appear on the backs of the vouchers. Or a voucher sent to an email that can be printed and paid for at an Israel Post office.
- Credit card (Isracard, Mastrcerd or Visa) – can be used on the student portal on the internet or in the link below:

Note: Credit card payments on the student portal on the internet (for Visa and Isracard card holders), are in one payment or in ‘with interest’ credit payments only (3-18) and involve an additional handling fee of 0.76% of the payment amount.
* Ancillary Fees
All students, including those studying part-time and those enrolled and eligible only to submit papers or take exams, are required to pay “ancillary fees” in addition to the basic tuition.
Details of the ancillary fees for the 2025-2026 academic year:
- Security fee – NIS 682 linked to the July 2025 index.
Starting with the 2023-2024 academic year, the charge for security fees is semesterly.
A student registered for only one semester will be charged 50% of the security fee, i.e. – NIS 341 linked to the July 2025 index.
A student enrolled for two or more semesters, including a summer semester, will be charged 100% of the security fee, 682 NIS linked to the July 2025 index.
Note: For a student registered for only one semester, the charge will be updated to half of the security fee during the year.
- Welfare fees – NIS 471 linked to the July 2025 index.
Note: "Student Welfare Fee" is a payment for student services provided by the university or by the Student Union as detailed below: Teaching evaluations; Tutorial classes in a variety of courses; Representation on the Disciplinary Committee; Activism that benefits students; Eligibility discounts on membership fee to the university's Sports Center; Eligibility discounts for artist performances; Eligibility to apply for scholarships for social involvement; Distribution of microwaves and coffee hubs on campus; Career counseling services through the Dean of Students; Posting of free advertisements on the Student Union website; Eligibility to participate in the on-campus parking lottery; A database of tutors and translators at discounted prices advertised on the Student Union website; Eligibility to travel on university shuttles. Services provided by the Student Union are the responsibility of the Union.
Payment of welfare fees for the 2025-2026 academic year can be waived in full until the opening day of the year 26.10.2025. It will not be possible to waive welfare payments after this date. A student who chooses not to pay welfare fees will not be entitled to the services listed above.
In programs where the starting date of the studies is not the same as the opening date of the academic year (studies starting in the 2025-2026 academic year in the second or summer semester), it will be possible to waive this payment until the second semester opening day 08.03.2026 or the summer semester opening 12.07.2026, respectively..
The charge for welfare fees is annual and does not depend on the number of semesters studied that year.
For each academic year, a waiver of welfare fees must be notified separately.
